A Magnetic Adventure is an original puzzle game based on physics, developed by Kostyukhin Timur and Alawar. It features a series of logical puzzles where all the tasks are accomplished by means of magnetic force. Your mouse pointer is a magnet that should carry out diverse tasks by attracting metal objects and using force to push boxes and pull levers.
The action takes place at the Academy of Magnetism, and as an apprentice yourself, you need to sort out a number of logic puzzles and games that will teach you the basics of magnetic attraction. A 'fellow magnet' guides you through the first steps of your training, and upon completing it, you will be assigned a mission.
It turns out that malevolent forces are planning an attack on the magnetic world, so you should prepare yourself to defend your land from whatever evil force is behind the attack. Having foreseen this, your ancestors created 30 magic totems that form protective circles. These totems have been scattered all over the land. In order to activate the protective circles, you need to place the totems in their designated places. But before that, you need to get a map to locate the totems.
Along a number of levels, you will be using your magnetic powers to free trapped totems, and get nuts, keys, and other metal elements trapped into intricate wooden structures. These elements will be used to push heavy objects, fix gear systems, open gates, and put in motion diverse mechanisms.
A help button will activate after a few minutes of play, giving you hints on what you need to do should you fail to figure out how to sort out a puzzle.
A Magnetic Adventure offers a cool series of logic puzzles and a very enjoyable game experience, which wins extra points for originality.
